Analysis:
Hynoski was Pitt's starting fullback in 2009 and 2010. Prior to that, he saw limited action as a redshirt freshmen, playing mainly on special teams. In 2009 he was the main blocking cog in Deion Lewis' record breaking freshmen season. He added 15 receptions for 109 yards out of the backfield. In 2010 Hynoski improved on his receiving total, catching 25 passes for 174 yards and 1 touchdown in Pitt's dormant offense.
Hynoski has the flexability to line up at FB, H-back, TE, or can even be flexed out at WR. He has the ability to find the open space in the defense and provide the quarterback with a reliable check-down. He is a better-than-average open field runner with the ball in his hands.
Mike Sellers has seen his better days as a Redskin. The only replacement we have on the roster is converted linebacker Darrel Young. Hynoski offers versatility at the FB position; something the Redskins thought they may have been getting when they drafted Dennis Morris(cough, cough). He will be a threat in short yardage, and as a receiver out of the backfield. He would make a nice complimentary blocker to a young, speedy running back(maybe even his former teammate Deion Lewis). He will be an immediate contributor on special teams.
I would like to see the Redskins look his way if he is still avaliable in the 7th round, or as an undrafted FA.
