A lot of Redskins fans share the same sentiment that Dan Snyder said just a few days ago:
"One thing I'm real proud of is that we were competitive as can be this year," Snyder said. "I'm rooting for the Green Bay Packers so I can say we beat the Super Bowl champs."
Does anyone think that this Packers team is the same one we played week five? Lines like that give the impression that our team is better than it is. If the Packers do win, will that sentence above be the 2011 marketing campaign for Club Level tickets? We squeaked a win in OT even though the Packers had all of these things happen:
- Lost arguably their #1 WR target in Jermichael Finley for the season on the opening drive.
- Aaron Rodgers got concussed
- GB players that left the game with injuries: Donald Lee, Ryan Pickett, Derrick Martin
- And the big one, Clay Matthews left the game in the 3rd quarter with a hamstring pull.
Having said all that, of course I'm rooting for the Packers, but I can't help but think James Harrison is going to leave cleat marks on Chad Clifton's chest.
