The Redskins just announced coaching great, Richie Petitbon, will be inducted to the Redskins Ring of Fame at Fedex Field next home game vs the Vikings. Richie played for the Redskins from 1971-1972.

Allen then took over the Washington Redskins, trading for veteran players who would make no mistakes. One of his first acquisitions was Petitbon, who had three interceptions in his first game with the "Over The Hill Gang" - a 24-17 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals.

He returned to the Redskins in 1978 as secondary coach under Jack Pardee. From 1981 to 1992, he was the Redskins' defensive coordinator during the glory years.

Petitbon is already in the Lousiana Sports Hall of Fame. For a great bio on Richie, click here.
