There's no doubt things have been downright sucky for Redskins fans. No amount of Ken's silver tongue can fix that (get your mind out of the gutter people). Anyway, scouting around, here's everything POSITIVE I can find going into this week Cowboys at Redskins game:
- Miles Austin and cornerback Mike Jenkins are still nursing hamstring injuries and won't play. (Sure, the Cowboys won the last two weeks without them, but they are quality players).
- Tony Romo's QB Rating at Fedex Field last 4 years is sub-par: 89.1, 86.1, 72.8, 34.9. (He's a career 97.7 QB)
- Cowboys are 1-3 on the road this year.
- Redskins are 3-0 this year when they win the Time of Possession battle (note to Kyle Shanahan....run the f'n ball. Dallas D ranks 20th at 4.5 per carry). Redskins are 16th against the run at 4.3.
- Cowboys Offense is tied for 4th in the league with most fumbles (Romo only 3 of those).
- Cowboys offense ranks a rather poor 21st in fewest penalties (Redskins' O is an impressive 4th. Our D is another story...2nd worst)
- Cowboys 3rd down % is a middle-of-the-pack 39%. Redskins crowd can help here.
- Redskins are 4-1 against the spread vs Dallas last 3 years. With the line at -8 Cowboys, we'll at least see a close game, right!??? Eh???
- Here's a Dallas Morning News slideshow of Redskins players Cowboys fans love to hate.
- Laurent Robinson is being hailed as a great pickup for the Cowboys, which he has been. But, well, he might think twice about catching any balls over the middle, or on the sideline for that matter:
