There are too many matchups to focus on for today's game, so Brian Galliford, the lead Editor for SBN's Bills site, Buffalo Rumblings, and I exchanged the top five players we want to focus on. I asked Brian what Bills will matchup against Trent Williams, Joey Galloway, Kevin Barnes, Adam Carriker, and Ma'ake Kemoeatu/Albert Haynesworth. He gives some great insight on the level of expertise each player will see. Trent Williams will get an early dose of speed and power. The Redskins Nose Tackles should have a cake-walk against a weak group of Centers.
I responded to which Redskins will be matching up against the 5 players Bills' fans will most be watching. You can read that matchup here.

Trent Williams (LT): The Redskins are not used to having Left Tackle problems since Chris Samuels (before last season) was an anchor for nearly a decade protecting the blind side. There has been nothing but rave reviews for the Redskins 4th overall pick so all eyes will be on him as he trots out with the 1st team. Who will he likely be facing those first several drives? |

Silverback will be spending most of his time dealing with Buffalo's platoon at Jack linebacker - Reggie Torbor (on run downs) and 2009 first-round pick Aaron Maybin (on pass downs). He'll also have right defensive end Dwan Edwards to deal with on running plays. In Maybin and Edwards, Williams will see good speed and power, respectively, so the Bills will be able to throw some solid talent at him early in the game. |

Joey Galloway (WR): He's currently listed as the #2 WR. All Redskins fans want (and need) Devin Thomas to claim that spot, but if Galloway shows he has something left, that will certainly make it harder. Who will Galloway and Thomas (3rd stringer) likely be matching up against? |

Hogs Haven | Kevin Barnes (CB): Barnes is currently the 2nd team Cornerback behind DeAngelo Hall. The Redskins have Phillip Buchanon, Justin Tryon, and Kevin Barnes all in the mix for the #3 CB. Barnes is a hard-hitting, excellent tackler, so how he does in coverage will be key. What WR will he likely be covering on the 2nd team? |

Hogs Haven | Adam Carriker (LDE): The Redskins acquired Carriker from the Rams in a trade that cost them next to nothing. He's had major injury problems in the past, but is healthy now, has had an excellent camp, and is being asked to anchor the left side of the 3-4 defense. It looks like the entire starting right side of the Bills offensive line is out, so what kind of expertise will he face with the backups? |

Hogs Haven | Ma'ake Kemoeatu/Albert Haynesworth (NT): I lumped these two together since the NT is the nucleus to the 3-4 defense. Kemo will start the first drive or two and Albert will come in with the 2nd team. I don't expect Ma'ake will see a lot of action since he is still not 100% and the Redskins desperately need him. Who are the Centers they'll be facing and what kind of push-back do you predict from these 2 mammoth defenders? |

The top two centers on Buffalo's depth chart are veteran Geoff Hangartner and undrafted rookie free agent Sean Allen. Neither player is particularly powerful, so expect a lot of help from guards Andy Levitre, Cordaro Howard, Jason Watkins and Andre Ramsey (if he plays). Again, I expect Redskins fans will feel pretty wonderful about their nose guards Saturday morning. |
The Bills sound a lot like the 2009 Redskins: solid defense, questionable offense, and a banged up OLine. Hopefully both teams get through this game injury free. What matchups are you focusing on?
