Don't check your calendar, it's not April 1st. This is the real deal. The Redskins signed the former Cowboy to a 1-year deal. By my count, Joey is the 9th WR on the Redskins roster (not including the try-outs). Bruce Allen obviously has a history with Joey overlapping five years at Tampa together. As comical as this signing is (Galloway is only 1 year younger than Redskins WR coach Keenan McCardell), this could be a good addition for all the young guys on the roster.
There's a lot of youth at the WR position and McCardell obviously can't work with everyone at the same time during mini-camp and OTAs. In essence, Joey is another WR coach. If Joey couldn't hack it with the Steelers and Patriots last year, I'd be shocked if he makes the final 53. Why is this big news? I really just wanted to dust off my Photoshop skills.
