Favre Exposes Redskins D & Lorena Bobbit's Our Playoff Chances

There are so many different headlines I could have gone with. Another one I couldn't quite nail down involved Favre's junk and the Redskins defense both being equally enjoyable to look at.

I don't know about you, but Favre scrambling 10 yards for the game clinching first down was as insulting as it gets. Just as that happened, the red zone channel was showing the Giants doing a sack fumble to win the game. A guy that was born in 1969 was able to get through people half his age. Lorenzo Alexander made a horrible decision to go in coverage and multiple Redskins were looking the wrong direction. That 10 yard Favre scramble was longer than any of the 13 (yes, 13) Redskins' pathetic rushes.

When do we throw in the towel with this defense? Ma'ake Kemoeatu was consistently getting pushed 5+ yards backwards. Haynesworth is used about one third as much as he should. I know in two to three years when I talk to players about this defense they're going to say they knew it wouldn't work.

The Redskins seem to lose games more than they do get beaten. Here's all the plays I threw my remote across the room on...

  • Moss puts a perfectly thrown ball in the air giving the Vikings the ball in our red zone.
  • Perry Riley blocks a guy in the back who was out of the play anyway. Brandon Banks now has 2 punt returns taken off the board from penalties.
  • The very next play McNabb gets sacked and THREE Redskins offensive lineman were on the ground. How is that possible??
  • The long bomb to Anthony Armstrong was under thrown. He was wide open, yet #13 has to fall down to catch it. Another touchdown off the board.
  • If I had told you Adrian Peterson would get knocked out in the first half and the Redskins STILL would lose....would you have believed me?
  • The dropped balls. Moss, Cooley, Armstrong, James Davis. How does this happen?
  • How did the ref miss the facemask penalty on Banks punt return?
  • Byron Westbrook is fantastic gunner on Special Teams. He's always standing next the the PR when he catches the ball.
