Rubbing It in Justin's Face

I got some grief from Justin804 for my power rankings, but overall I think I did the best job of anyone so far.  Here was my pre-season top 10:

  1. Colts (2-0)
  2. Patriots (2-0)
  3. Chargers (1-1) lost to Patriots
  4. Redskins (1-0)
  5. Ravens (1-1) lost to Bengals
  6. 49ers (2-0)
  7. Bears (1-1) lost to Chargers
  8. Broncos (2-0)
  9. Seahawks (1-1) lost to Cardinals
  10. Steelers (2-0)

The 2-0 teams that I missed are: Dallas (I had them ranked #32), Houston, Detroit, Green Bay.  Despite the 2-0 record, I don't think any of those teams really deserve to be on the top 10.  If I were to redo my list today, knowing what I know now, Seattle would get dropped, Cincinnati would be added, and a lot of shuffling would take place, but the teams would be very similar.  Here are my week 3 power rankings:

  1. Patriots (2-0)
  2. Colts (2-0)
  3. Redskins (1-0) (2-0 after tonight)
  4. Broncos (2-0)
  5. Steelers (2-0)
  6. 49ers (2-0)
  7. Bears (1-1)
  8. Chargers (1-1)
  9. Ravens (1-1)
  10. Cincinnati (1-1)

But here's where the gloating takes place:

uhhhh...

Ring-ring?  Where are the Saints, B&G...they are my favorite to at least go to the super Bowl this season.  If the running game can match JC's passer rating this preseason (like 102 or something) then we will be there instead...of course, JC would have to continue playing at a high level.
