Ok, not that Berman. Indiana State wide receiver Carl Berman signed with the Redskins today:
Carl Berman, Indiana State's leading receiver last season, signed a free-agent contract Tuesday with the Washington Redskins.
All I could find was his NFL Draft Scout Profile which has him listed at a serious undersized 166 pounds, but he is a quick kid. His low 40 time is 4.26 though it lists at 4.35 (that's what Calvin Johnson had).
Berman, who was not selected in the NFL draft last weekend, will report to the Redskins' minicamp on Thursday.
He caught 59 passes for 783 yards and four touchdowns last season for the Sycamores.
Redskins now carrying eleven WRs, so don't get too used to the newcomers. Carl Berman joins Moss, Randle-El, Lloyd, Thrash, Mike Espy, Steven Harris, Ryan Hoag, Cedric Bonner and our two other undrafted signees Taylor Sele (of BC) and Deyon Williams (UVA). Needless to say, we're not going to carry 11 receivers on our final roster.
Update [2007-5-1 15:16:16 by Skin Patrol]: This could go on and on. Add a pair of Duke players (emphasis mine):
Three undrafted Duke captains also signed as free agents. Defensive tackle Casey Camero will join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and defensive lineman Eli Nichols and cornerback John Talley signed with the Washington Redskins.
