Well I hate Thanksgiving anyways

No Giving of Thanks this year, per Casey Husband:

The NFL announced snippets of its 2007 schedule earlier this week and the Redskins won't be playing on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22.

Instead, the three NFL games on that special occasion will be Green Bay at Detroit (12:30 p.m. ET), the New York Jets at Dallas (4:15 p.m. ET) and Indianapolis at Atlanta (8:15 p.m. ET).

The last time the Redskins played on Thanksgiving Day was in 2002 when they traveled to Dallas...

I blacked out towards the end of that last paragraph so I really haven't a clue how that game ended. Let's talk about something else.

Husband Err, Casey hazards a guess on who the Redskins open up at home given the current games released:

Now, do a little reasoning and you'll come to see that the Redskins could open versus one of the following opponents at FexExField: Philadelphia, Detroit, Buffalo or Miami.

If the opener is on the road, the Redskins will open at Philadelphia, Green Bay, Minnesota, Tampa Bay or New England.

His final prediction is Redskins vs. Philly to complement the Giants vs. Cowboys opener. An NFC East battle royale!

If I had my druthers, I'd take a home opener against the most beatable team available. We'll take... Detroit. On the road a Tampa Bay tussle will do just fine to galvanize a growing rivalry (?).
