Heads up: No Compensatory Picks for the Redskins

Full list of all compensatory picks. For obvious reasons, we didn't get any (emphasis mine):

Under terms of the NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement, a team losing more or better compensatory free agents than it acquires in a year is eligible to receive compensatory draft picks.
As the Redskins are the resident Free Agent Hamburglar, as opposed to one of the teams getting raided, that we have no picks should come as little surprise.

Big Winners:

  1. Indy picked up a 3rd, 4th, and 5th rounder.
  2. Baltimore picked up two 4th, a 5th, and a 6th rounder.
  3. Pittsburgh picked up a 4th and 5th rounder.
  4. New England picked up a 5th, two 6th, and a 7th rounder.
  5. San Diego picked up a 3rd and 5th rounder.
  6. San Fransisco picked up a 3rd and 4th rounder.
With the exception of San Fransisco, all of those teams have enjoyed enormous success within the past two years. Proving what? I don't know, maybe nothing, but it sure would be nice if we had a couple compensatory picks.
