Suisham is Your Kicker and New Poll

Results from the last poll:

Who should be the Redskins 2007 kicker?
Shaun Suisham    37 votes - 48 %
John Hall    4 votes - 5 %
Some combination of both    0 votes - 0 %
Someone else (post below)    4 votes - 5 %
Open competition    6 votes - 7 %
Art Monk should be in the HoF    25 votes - 32 %
So while many of you -- and I don't blame you in the least -- decided to side step the question to support Art Monk, the majority of the rest of you agreed that Suisham is the future leg of Your Washington Redskins. I like that.

John Hall somehow picked up some votes despite the fact that he's going to get cut. His 2M 2007 cap hit is not protected by a paltry 465k in remaining guaranteed money. This should also explain why a combination of kickers was so unpopular.

Some of you voted for other, though I suspect that was started by Curly R Ben Folsom's nostalgic suggestiong to bring back Chip Lohmiller. In any event, Suisham wins.

New Poll! Hail Redskins Mock Draft Database has pretty much narrowed down the Redskins #6 pick to four players. And while I would love for the 'Skins to trade down I just don't know if it will happen.

The four players in question are DTs Alan Branch (Michigan) and Amobi Okoye (Louisville) and DEs Gaines Adams (Clemson) and Jamaal Anderson (Arkansas). I hope to have some inside-ish info on these guys from College Bloggers who might know more about than I do -- which is to say more than nothing at all -- later this week.

So the question is, if you had to pick one of those guys with the #6 pick, who would it be? Post why you voted or additional comments below.
