Redskins left tackle Chris Samuels did not play in last Saturday's Pro Bowl due to what the team believes was food poisoning from a meal the previous evening.
Samuels is feeling fine now, team officials said on Monday.
I initially thought he hadn't played because of an injury, so the good news is that he's fine. This should have absolutely no effect on his offseason, and I can say I'm pleased he didn't play. No point risking injury weeks before surgery.
As regards stomach illnesses, I am extremely sympathetic.
