Life gets worse

As much as I loved watching Randy Moss illegally assault Leigh Torrence in the endzone and then catch a touchdown pass, I'd just as soon he have done that to starting cornerback Carlos Rogers. He couldn't, because Rogers injured his knee, and it does not look good:

The injury was to Rogers' MCL in his right knee. It's believed he also may have injured his ACL in the knee, so he will undergo further tests on Monday...

As a result of Rogers' injury, the Redskins' defense found itself in a tight spot against the potent Patriots offense.

Tight spot? I'll say it again: What, like the back of a Volkswagen? My fingers are crossed in the hopes that Rogers is ok, though I will keep you posted as soon as additional information is available. This would be a devastating loss for our secondary.

Also, per Gary Fitzgerald, here is coach on the Patriots running up the score:

"Coach, did you feel like the Patriots were running up the score in the fourth quarter?"

Gibbs quickly put an end to any potential public controversy with Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.

"No," he said. "I have no problem with anything they did. Nothing. No problems from me."

Jason Campbell:
Campbell added: "They were going for it on fourth downs, but that's an NFL team and we have to stop it. We're all here in the NFL and we're all here to make plays."
Randall Godfrey was apparently worked up about it. One tackle.
