Its Official: 2008 Schedule

Update [2008-4-15 14:34:52 by Skin Patrol]: Thanks to both CptChaosSideKick and Redskinette for both being on top of the story as well.
Go and check it out here.  And the schedule is:

1 Sept. 4 (Thurs.) at New York Giants 7 p.m.
2 Sept. 14 New Orleans Saints 1 p.m.
3 Sept. 21 Arizona Cardinals 1 p.m.
4 Sept. 28 at Dallas Cowboys 4:15 p.m.
5 Oct. 5 at Philadelphia Eagles 1 p.m.
6 Oct. 12 St. Louis Rams 1 p.m.
7 Oct. 19 Cleveland Browns 4:15 p.m.
8 Oct. 26 at Detroit Lions 1 p.m.
9 Nov. 3 (Mon.) Pittsburgh Steelers 8:30 p.m.
10 Nov. 9 Bye
11 Nov. 16 Dallas Cowboys* 8:15 p.m.
12 Nov. 23 at Seattle Seahawks 4:15 p.m.
13 Nov. 30 New York Giants 1 p.m.
14 Dec. 7 at Baltimore Ravens 1 p.m.
15 Dec. 14 at Cincinnati Bengals 1 p.m.
16 Dec. 21 Philadelphia Eagles 1 p.m.
17 Dec. 28 at San Francisco 49ers 4:15 p.m.

A cursory look leads me to think that a 9-7 record is pretty easy to predict.  The Rams, 49ers, Cardinals, and Saints and possibly the Lions should be wins.  Some of the other home games (Browns, Steelers, division games) are all iffy, but some of them are very winable.

And some of the games (Zorn's return to Seattle, at Cincy, at Baltimore, division games) are very tough.  I'm going out on the limb and saying 9-7, which is to be adjusted after draft day.

Your thoughts are always encouraged.  Hit up the comments section.

Hard to predict
9-7 whould be my guess to but makes the NFL great is that you just never know ie: '99 Rams '02 Pats

Very true...
but for now, I'll stick with 9-7.*

Poor NFC West:(
I wish we could just play them every year

As long as the Skins get the Seahawks in DC...
I wouldn't mind.  They are so tough in that stadium, and so mediocre everywhere else.

Homer Hope
The schedule is not the easiest, but it never is in the NFC east, I'm going an optimistic with Home Hope of 11-5 record.
The same strong Defense but those games we would have lost by 7 or less are now wins with the new improved Top-10 offense for points scored.

It's great point day at the Haven
I completely forgot about those losses by 7pts or less. (By forgot I mean drank away) I think the 'Skins offense will put it together and put up more points. 21 pts a game would be good and I think well within our grasp. I'd also like to see our D get more aggressive.

Post has a cool little Graph
Post Redskin Fan 08 projections
This shows a 10 win season, by most fans, overall a nice little thought about the upcoming season.

My favorite joke
What an easy schedule - we get to play the Eagles, Cowboys, and Giants twice apiece!

I dont know about you guys...
but when the schedule came out, I was just in a state of giddiness and happiness.  I wont make any predictions until we're well into training camp (I think injuries are a huge factor for the 'skins) but regardless of what people are predicting, I just want to see our burgundy and gold boys back at it.  The thought of seeing portis break through the line and powerhouse his way into the endzone again almost brings tears of joyous anticipation to me.  Images of Moss and Randel El doing their signature dances after catching long bombs over cowboy/eagle defenders... Sellers running straight through people... and captain chaos just doing his thing in the redzone.

I can't wait. HTTR.

Clinton (Portis) for President.

pessimist
I'm delusional after the last 15 years but I'm gonna say 7-9.  Leaves open the possibility of exceeding expectations.  I just can't shake the feeling that we'll screw up at least one or two of our "should win" home games
