Zack Bolno is "Executive Director of Communications"

Per the Official Site:

The Washington Redskins announced March 24 that they have named Zack Bolno as the Executive Director of Communications.
Bolno joins the Redskins after spending the past four seasons (2004-08) as the Director of Public Relations for the Washington Wizards...

During his tenure, the Buccaneers public relations department received the esteemed Pete Rozelle Award in 1997 and 2002, presented annually to the NFL's top media relations department.

The Wizards have branded their team phenomenally in the Washington area and I have to imagine much of that is due to Zack Bolno. Speaking of the Wizards, spend more time at Bullets Forever.

Says Ryan O'Halloran of the Times:

Expressing an opinion on the hire, this is a positive move by the Redskins. While disappointed they parted ways with Helein, I think it's important they hired a person who a) has knowledge of the D.C. media/sports scene, b) had run their own shop with another team and c) had previous NFL experience. Before joining the Wizards, Bolno spent five seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which included their Super Bowl XXXVII season.
I found little on the Pete Rozelle Award mentioned above or the criteria used to measure deserving candidates. I did find this:
Prior to the game, John McClain, President of the Pro Football Writers of America Association, presented the Buccaneers' public relations staff with the Pete Rozelle Award. The Rozelle Award, named for the late NFL commissioner, is presented annually to the league's outstanding media relations department. Tampa Bay's department consists of Director of Public Relations Jeff Kamis and assistants Zack Bolno, Julia O'Neal, Tony Morreale and Jason Wahlers.
Not that that helps. Carry on.
