WashingQUINN?
Imagine...cleveland (foolishly) passes on Brady Quinn and he then free falls to number 6. With Russel gone to Oakland, Joe Thomas to Detroit, Perterson to Cleveland, Johnson goes to the bucs (woe on us), and Gaines Adams goes to detroit. That leaves Quinn and Landry as the two best players on the board...arguably. Washington chooses Quinn. What happens next???
Here's my theory...1, Dolphins (possibly) contact us...but so does Cleveland, especially if Quinn starts kicking and screaming...they figure to get him at a good price. One or two other teams wait to test the water. Quinn could go somewhere for the 2008 first rounder and maybe a reserve player...Redskins look like the Patriots next year.
Or 2, (dramatic music) They KEEP Quinn, and send off the less talented Jason Campbell, because Quinn actually seems like he want to be here, and doesn't give us hell in contract negotiations...Brunell will likely start again (groan) so that Quinn can learn from a seasoned vet on the field, and Collins' tutoring on the offense.
Ya, I realize we'll have to go through another massive transition on Offense, and in the Skins' community, as Campbell is an active part of it.
But consider it.

I vote No
I am absolutely committed to Jason Campbell as I feel he did everything last year to warrant a full season. If we're to the point where what JC did in 2006 isn't enough to invite him back, than there really isn't any guarantee that Brady Quinn will ever be given a fair shake either, and we'll be having this same conversation in 2009 when Star QB X declares for the draft (unfrotunately, we'll probably still be picking in the top 10 by then).
I'm also against Quinn for all the reasons I'm against Calvin Johnson; it burns a pick on a non-need position.
I think it's an interesting scenario though ultimately I'd have to go against it. Just my two cents, though.

I like Quinn...
Quinn isn't NFL ready. If he plays the whole year, he should be by week 10-12, but he's going to take his bumps and bruises just like everyone else in the league.
And that is why I said "Hell NO!"

Somehow...
*For the record, I completely despise drafting QB's in the first round, espcially the first half...too often they don't work out. If there is any position that you don't want a player to become instantly complacent (many millions of dollars, plus a nearly guarunteed starting job) it's at QB. Does that always happen? No. But I'd rather my QB feel he need to fight to earn his near-minimum salary BEFORE he see his $15,000,000 (see all those zeros?) guarunteed. At least you really will see if he's got "it".
Personality/leadership ability outweigh talent and age (did you see Garcia in Philly...though he still has some serious gas in the tank) at the "leadership" position of QB. The right guy can make a mediocre team play good football...even if his talents are more like Charlie Frye than Peyton Manning.
