WIN AND WE'RE IN!

Hail to the Redskins!

Let's not get all cocky about Dallas now. It's true that Owens will be sitting, but I imagine that the other starters will play more of the game than people think. Otherwise, they are basically taking two weeks off (if you count the first round bye), and I don't think Phillips will want his team to get rusty.

There's also the overconfidence factor, since everyone is suddenly calling this game a "gimmee".

Since when is any NFC East division rival game a "gimmee"?

uh...no
this is no gimme and if Brad johnson starts, that is still not good.  He doesn't turn the ball over, and he still knows how to win.  No TO is a HUGE boost, but we have to mive the ball against that aggressive D to win.

Go Collins!  I know you can do it!

I couldnt agree with you more
This game with be just like all others. I imagine most of their first teamers may play a half so it will be important to get off to a great start. The 12th man will play a big role in this one.

I can guarantee one thing...
the Cowboys main focus will be avoiding injuries.

Its still a cowboys vs skins game.
The cowboys aren't going to lie down and take a loss from the redskins. Also they already have a bi-week, so its not like they need another week off.

True
but, many of the starters will be out before the half. The bigger picture is coming out of this game injury free, not worrying about if we win against the Redskins. You guys are going to see 3 quarters plus of Brad Johnson, whether that's good or bad, I don't know. I do know he has a grudge against you guys for the way he was treated prior to him leaving.

Arg!
For two reasons:
  1. Terry Glenn is a great football player.
  2. I just submitted my 5 Questions with Blogging the Boys and dared to ask whether Terry Glenn would play, which now seems like a stupid question.

Why the arg?
Terry Glenn is a great football player but he  will be a very rusty football player also. We should all hope he plays. Getting back into football shape wont be easy in a quarter or two as will his timing and everything else.

The more starters they play the more the skins will be looking to knocking these guys around. I cant wait to hear how loud Fed Ex gets Sunday!

We dont have to get cocky about the Cowboys but lets treat this game appropriately and stop bowing down to these guys. It is what it is and we were not supposed to be here so lets not get soft now.

I agree in part
there's no question that the Terry Glenn showing up on the field this weekend won't be as polished and good as he has in the past, but Glenn is a veteran who has sat out plenty of time over the course of his career and thus is as capable as anyone of shaking off the rust in a hurry. Even if you aren't worried about him in this upcoming game, remember that we could very well be facing him again in the postseason, then very much healthier and less rusty.

That said, as always, I'm predicting a Redskins win.

Physical play
We certainly endured our fair share of injuries this year. I'd bet we may have more injured starters than most teams so playing physical should be our number one priority this week.

Dallas having locked everything up may or may not play 1st teamers for short to longer periods of time. Heres a way to make Wade Phillips think differently about playing starters and even backups that they depend on. PLAY EXTREMELY PHYSICAL!

At all costs, show them that broken bones means nothing to us and they should be afraid of who they are putting on the field. Look at what has happened when just 1 guy, T.O., has gone down. They know without him its game over.

Yeah yeah I know some of us would hope we could play their starters to prove that we could beat them, me included, and its possible we can, but their most likely not going to. So lets throw the hammer down while we have the chance and show them that if their going to come in here all hyped up about winning then they have to bring their A game with their A starters or else get off the field and start thinking of your first playoff game. Why give them any chance of dipping starters in here and their to try and win?

That has to be our mentallity this weekend, all or nothing its kill or be killed, no mercy and no pain! This should be made known to the Dallas organization right now. Dallas fans relay this message to your friends.

beating the Cowboys is very doable without T.O.
especially if Romo gets an early exit call in the second half.
