Game of inches; Redskins beat Cardinals 21-19

Neil Rackers misses the field goal by mere inches to gie the Redskins an ugly, but important win. Full recap pending my heart starts beating again. Quick thoughts:

  1. Offense is horrible. Couldn't do anything to help out the defense whatsoever.
  2. Defense was great when they were scoring and getting turnovers, very soft looking when they needed to be tough, though great job stopping the two point conversion.
  3. Let's practice onside kick coverage, huh?
  4. Taunting penalties are stupid. You're better than that, London Fletcher, and you get my defensive MVP of the game.
  5. I don't know how we're supposed to beat the Patriots last week, we certainly won't do it by playing the way we did today. You score on defense, you get great field position due to turnovers, and you still meekly win by 2 points? On a missed field goal? Yikes.

A win's a win...
but man, that was ugly.  I'm glad I didn't see the whole game... I can't afford new TVs.

what I saw..
with are problems on the o-line, why didn't we use the shotgun more? Jason Campbell barely has time to find his 1st read back there. CP is BY FAR the best blitz pickup rb in the league!

D was great but they need to bring the blitz at times. Both TD's came w/ warner having enough time to read War and Peace before finding his 12th read.

I kind of agree here
were trying to play the same game with a hammered offensive line.

Now is the time to use saunders creativity more. It cant possibly be any worse than it is already. Our offenses' deficincies are staring to spill over to the defense and soon we will be blaming the defense for not being able to stop anyone. It seems like they are always on the field.

Anyone know the defintion of insanity, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

For the love of god change something already.

That elbow seemed structurally sound...
or at least structurally reinforced.

our offense needs real work
4 years into Gibbs II and we still can't put a good offense on the field.

Yeah I know we have injuries. And the year before the excuse was we had a young QB. And the year before was that Brunell sucked....

Great stuff guys.
I'll try to incorporate as much of that into my game recap, which will be up by the end of tonight. School is killing me.
