Around SBN: Steve McNair Found Shot to Death

Redskins host the Cardinals today at 1PM Eastern

This is your gameday open thread. This is your Redskins.com gameday page. This is your NFL dot com game center. This is your Curly R open thread. Let's hope this is a win.

We're still out Randy Thomas, we're probably out Shawn Springs as he is attending to personal matters, and both Stephon Heyer and Marcus Washington are listed as questionable. Your projected starting offensive line is: Chris Samuels next to Pete Kendall next to Casey Rabach next to Rick DeMulling next to Jason Fabini.

I don't know if Kurt warner will play but on NFL Sunday Countdown they said his elbow is a problem when handing off, though he might play in some shotgun formations. That makes him doubtful to start; Tim Rattay gets it. Another bit of breaking news from NFL Sunday Countdown, though John Clayton looks like a fetus, he gives about the best football analysis of anyone on that show.

A win here is clutch; we face New England next week, almost certainly as many points dogs. A loss today puts us at 3-3, add another next week and we're in territory that is familiar. For victory, we're frequently told that teams must bring their game faces, or some nonsense like that. Here's what that looks like:

I'll be around.

Shawn Springs
is in the game; given the circumstances, I would've understood had he missed this game. It's a huge credit to him that he's on the field.

Offense is simply stagnant
defense is great again. Where would we be if we could move the ball...and to think whats going to happen should our D falter as some point.

Such a shame that we have those injuries.

Todd Wade
I'm starting to regret any good things I said about him. Our offense can't do anything right.

Penalties on defense
are going to lead to Arizona points. Sloppy.

Biggest play of the game right there.
Defense gave up a huge drive but stood tall at the end; on 3rd down Andre Carter sacks Warner, who fumbles, and Daniels comes up with it. We absolutely needed that stop so that the offense can get on the field and go 3 and out.

I think we should get use to the idea that our
offense sucks.  Most games will be this way.
We probably really dont deserve to win.
Love this team but we should start thinking about getting guys healthy instead of playing them hurt and regrouping when their healthy.

Power game does not work with everyone hurt
and its going to cause more injuries with 2nd and 3rd teamers in there. Portis looks like he is just getting beaten down and is always playing hurt.

Seems like its only a matter of time now till our defense has some monumental collapses.

We are definitely in a downward spiral.

Lets hope that if we get beat by NE next week its a beat down instead of a grinder.

A few more starter injuries seems like its just on the horizon.
