We are all familiar with the arguments, even if the HoF committee is not. But I have never seen a more compelling compendium of the arguments then this video that every responsible Washington Redskins fan should watch.

Without Art Monk, Canton is irrelevant.

that presentation was truly inspiring for anyone who grew up a Redskins fan/Monk fan in the 80s and 90s like I did. I hope that the voters finally can realize and appreciate the impact that Monk had on the game even though he went out of his way to avoid drawing attention to himself. I just hope that I can be there in Canton when he goes in.

It should be a big year

I truly believe, given revelations by Peter King and Dr. Z this year, that Art Monk will finally, mercifully be allowed in. Everyone has rethought the entire HOF process for receivers and is beginning to realize that no one besides Jerry Rice is qualified if Art Monk is not.

Most impressive are the non-receiving talents he brought to the team. He was a leader vocally and through example, and played every down as if it were the Superbowl both when receiving or simply blocking.

Art Monk will go down in history as one of the greatest receivers of all time whether or not Canton recognizes it. Canton's credibility is contingent on the larger Football Community recognizing it as such. Without Art Monk, many of us cannot in good conscience truly consider it an accurate Hall of Fame.

In other words, Canton needs Art Monk more than Art Monk needs Canton.

Go Register. Or else.
