Live Game Thread: St. Louis Rams @ Washington Redskins
So it looks like Chris Samuels and Marc Bulger are both go's. Once again Redskins Nation has their hopes up for an "easy" win. Is this the Zorn we expect to see in 5 hours? All smiles in the post game after a 30+ point victory?
Have at it.
I'll be tweeting from Fedex as Sugar and I will be at the gates before they open around 8:30AM. Hopefully we'll see some Orakpophobia shirts out there.

Game Thread: Redskins vs Giants
I'm at Giants Stadium for the game and will be dropping in on this thread and our twitter. All the Giants fans I'm with have this game as an assured blowout. I have multiple bets for the Skins to cover. How can you not take points week 1? Although I don't see how the Saints and Ravens don't cover those -14 point spreads. Have at it....

GameThread: Redskins vs Patriots
Last time these two teams faced Gibbs was at the helm for a massive, 52-7 drubbing. Nothing is 'safe to say' with Belichick at the helm, but I expect a much closer game tonight. I'm cutting out of work now for Fedex Field. Ken and I will have access to this thread. I'll be tweeting from the game as well. Have at it.

GameThread: Redskins vs Steelers
TV:

Radio: 980 AM, 730 AM (Spanish), 94.3 FM and 92.7 FMPittsburgh Steelers @ Washington Redskins
Saturday, August 22nd, 7:30PM
Fedex Field
Weather: 2PM-5PM (70% chance rain - 84 degrees)
8PM-11PM (50% chance rain - 75 degrees)Not expected to play: Ben Roethlisberger, Mike Williams
What I am watching for:
1.) ANYONE on offense to make a play. Seriously. I'm tired of reading and seeing who looks good in practice. It's time for one of the red shirt WRs to make a play....and I mean 30+ yard play and/or TD.
2.) 1st defense vs Charlie Batch: WIth Big Ben sitting out, I expect Charlie Batch to spend more time on his back than Paris Hilton.
3.) 3 and outs. I want to see the Redskins outnumber the Steelers in this 2-1.
Of course consistent O-line protection and same flashes from the back up RBs will be nice. What will you be looking for?
Sugar and I are on our way to Fedex Field shortly. We'll be online then and will be able to contribute some sights and sounds from the parking lot.

Open Thread: Redskins @ Ravens
Continung the fun from last year, we'll be live commenting from this thread for tonight's action just before game-time. OverlordMarshall, I sincerely hope you can make this chat thread (no censorship)...it will make for a good time.
Game Time: 7:30PM EST
TV: NBC-4/Comcast HD (Mike Patrick, Joe Theismann, Kelli Johnson, and Lindsay Czarniak)
Radio: ESPN Radio WTEM 980 AM (full radio list) - Larry Michael, Sonny Jurgensen, Sam Huff, and Doc Walker (sidelines)
Thoughts:
This is the perfect game for the Redskins to have a pre-season game against. They'll face a tier-1 defense for a few series, and the Skins defense will get to see multiple types of QBs: Flacco (strong QB with size) and Troy Smith (small QB with lots of quickness and mobility). Flacco has struggled in camp thus far with accuracy, and he won't be getting much help since the WRs he is throwing to are mostly inexperienced: Demetrius Williams, Marcus Smith, Kelley Washington, Yamon Figurs, Eron Riley, Thomas White, Biren Ealy, Justin Harper, and Ernie Wheelwright.
I predict a sloppy game for the Ravens offense with some ferocious hits from the Skins defense, specifically Kareem Moore. Jeremy Jarmon I also expect will stand out with a sack or two. As for the Redskins offensive line, I expect to laugh a few times tonight. They're still a work in progress and now they will be facing players they haven't seen before. Add in the crowd noise and that puts the false starts over/under at 3.5.
A win tonight is zero injuries.
