I just came across this fantastic write-up from fellow SB Nation blog, Arrowhead Pride, from when they were searching for a GM. A couple of the points that stand out, which make me realize Mr. Snyder has 0% chance of acquiring him:

- How well would Polian draft without his team of scouts?
- Colts are fully (and publicly) committed to keeping him
- If he passed on the 49ers, Chiefs and ATL, why would he come to this mess?

It's a shame because that draft resume is outstanding.

Jason La Canfora goes over some of the changed rules and available players should an uncapped year take place in 2010 (looks likely). His lists don't show much potential on them, though as he adds "high-priced, under-performing players can be cut with no cap hit."
What I take away from this: An uncapped year isn't going to let Snyder's big wallet change our team around. Aaron Kampman is the only worth-while addition I can see, but Jarmon and Orakpo have been showing enough promise to fill opposite a rejuvenated Carter.
Campbell will be a restricted free-agent, that can bring in a 1st round pick on a $2 million tender (or a 1st and third with a $2.5 million). That, to me, looks like the most likely scenario. Snyder offers Campbell $2-$2.5 million, a team can give us a first (and maybe a third), in which case we draft a QB and top-ranked lineman. Otherwise, we have Campbell for cheap and try again with a bolstered line (first two picks...?).

Hey everyone, I'm raising money to buy 2000 white balloons with "BOYCOTT SNYDER" imprinted on them. They'll be distributed before the Broncos game. If you agree that Redskins fans need to act together to hit Snyder in the pocket, I could really use a few donations. The balloons cost a little more than $300, which I think is pretty cost-effective. They will be deflated, so no one can take them from you at the gate if you feel like bringing them into the stadium.

My goal is try and represent the angst of the average Redskins fan right now without coming across as too bitter. I will definitely work in a ridiculous statement about our "wild card potential" or our ability to get back in the "wild card hunt". Something that will make them scratch their heads for sure. At a charity event (today?), Snyder let his guard down in a rare Q&A session with reporters, saying, "We've let everyone down, including ourselves, and we know that and we're just apologetic."

Hmmm....This is all I have wanted to hear from him as a start to making things better. Any chance this is followed by a Vinny Cerrato firing?

Bradford unlikely to slip by Washington (according to Adam Schefter)

Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford could slip some in the April NFL draft, but it is unlikely he would slip past the Washington Redskins' first-round pick.

The Redskins' team doctor is Dr. James Andrews, who performed Bradford's shoulder surgery this past week. If any team is going to have extra insight as to how well Bradford's subsequent rehab is going, it is the Redskins. Of course, any team can get any information it wants about Bradford's shoulder, but it is an interesting connection that Andrews works for the Redskins.

In the weeks before the 2008 NFL draft, Oregon running back Jonathan Stewart underwent foot surgery with Dr. Robert Anderson, who also happened to be the Carolina Panthers' team doctor. Then, when the draft came, Stewart slid some but not past the Panthers' 11th overall pick.

This is not to suggest that Bradford is destined to land in Washington, but it's hard to imagine him getting past the Redskins' slot, wherever it is.
