So here's a head scratcher. This article documents our Redskins' legend Nick Sundberg's long history of playing through all kinds of injuries and ailments. Then the article mentions something odd. Last season Nick battled staph infection. What? Our snapper had an infection that is most commonly transmitted by touching the same surfaces as someone with staph (or by direct human contact) and is most frequently spread in areas used by many people, such as locker rooms. That's the guy we had handling the ball!? Whoa! Sundberg is tough but for my money he doesn't displace the guy on the other end of that ball, Sav Rocca, as the toughest guy on our team. (But we already knew that, didn't we?)
