Todd Collins could be shown the door
Per Jason La Canfora at The Post:
Should Brunell recover, the Redskins could give strong consideration to releasing veteran Todd Collins, who has been a career backup and hopes to get a chance to play before his career ends.
I am sure the departure of Todd Collins would positively destroy the morale of Hogs Haven contributor/regular/poster TexSkins, as he has expressed a touching fondness for Collins time and time again. Am I right, Tex?
Personally I appreciate what Collins brings to the table, but if Brunell is recovering well than we don't need both of them. Serviceable veteran with clipboard can be handled better by Brunell anyways, and I'd rather we reserve the 3rd QB spot for developing a younger guy who could replace Mark Brunell within the next few years.
Article also has some injury notes on Marcus Washington, Santana Moss, and Brandon Lloyd. None sound serious, but should interest reader(s) nonetheless. Springs has been excused from practice because his wife is pregnant. Preemptive congratulations to Shawn from Hogs Haven.

Collins leaving...
For the love of god...
Carry Cambell, Collins and a young guy or 2 young guys behind Campbell. This team is not on the verge of making the playoffs so why carry Brunell when he offers nothing for the future of the team? Its not like he's an expert on the offense and can teach a younger guy something. He doesn't know the offense, gets hurt bending over to pick up his helmet and can't complete a pass with any zing on it more than 5 yards past the line of scrimmage.
LET HIM GO FOR CHRISTS SAKE!!!
