Fine...I got a little ahead of myself and celebrated Training Camp Eve last night instead of tonight. To be fair, everyone paid a price as I was roughly four hours late to the 5 o'clock club meeting this morning. The Audible went super late last night, which makes for a great Tuesday and a rough start to Wednesday. We warmed up with a conversation with Robert Henson, former Redskins linebacker and co-host of The District. Here is a snippet of that conversation, picking up where Hen is discussing the Junior Galette news the ripple effect on our squad.
Throughout training camp, I'll try and get a "Next Man Up" post up at some point during the day to house discussion about the manner in which different players are stepping into and out of opportunities this August. There is no escaping the linebacker discussion, given the loss of Galette. I make the point here and on our Sixpack segment that I am of the mind that Su'a Cravens stands to benefit from increased opportunities to rush the passer. Losing Galette is a bad thing, but Cravens could make us forget if he is able to come off the edge a few times per game to rattle the opposing quarterback.
Happy debating, Hogs Haven!
