The Redskins have reportedly signed two new players following this week's releases and injury news. Inside linebacker Adam Hayward was released on Friday after being medically cleared. Defensive back Kyshoen Jarrett was waived injured on Monday, and the Junior Galette torn Achilles story broke the same day.
QB Kendal Thompson(6’1 5/8”, 190 lbs) announced via twitter and instagram that he was officially a Washington Redskin, including a picture of him signing. Thompson played 11 games with only 3 starts over the last two seasons for Utah. He completed 64 passes for 544 yards and 3 TDs. He also ran the ball 75 times for 247 yards and 3 TDs. Not exactly a top prospect at QB, and he will likely be given an opportunity to compete at WR in training camp.
Officially a Washington Redskin! Extremely thankful for the opportunity from this great… https://t.co/iqsagga2go

The second player reportedly signed is former North Carolina and UVA wide receiver T.J. Thorpe(5’11”, 206 lbs). Thorpe transferred to Virginia for his senior year of college, but a broken clavicle in August caused him to miss time. He had 65 receptions for 895 yards and 6 TDs during his four years in college.
Thorpe is a good kick returner, and could compete there for a position that has not been stable in Washington for a long time. The Redskins will have 13 WRs entering camp if both of these signings become official. Thorpe returned 59 kicks for 1448 yards(24.5 yards/ret avg) and 1 TD during his 3 years at North Carolina. He also returned 6 punts for 47 yards.

Thorpe to Redskins: Randy Jordan is RB coach and was special teams at UNC. Loved him at KR, said he has highest potential he's seen coaching

@pliz88 @Manny_Benton watch Thorpe's punt return vs. Clemson. He's Jordan's guy if healthy. https://t.co/SUtKv4869s
