2014 Outlook:

The pass rushing department should be the strength of the 2014 Washington Redskins defense.  The Outside Linebackers are certainly one of the strengths of the team.  With guys like Brian Orakpo, Ryan Kerrigan, Trent Murphy, Rob Jackson, and Brandon Jenkins, it's a bit of a crowded position for a young guy like Adrian Robinson trying to make the team.  There are questions as to whether the 'Skins will keep four or five of these guys.  There are questions as to what will happen with 'Rak next year.  There are questions about Kerrigan's next contract.  There are questions as to whether Trent Murphy, a second-round rookie, will live up to his billing.  Obviously Gruden and the rest of the staff prioritize the position as evidenced by taking Murphy so early in the draft.

However, Robinson has been in this league and will be given a chance in training camp and the preseason.  He'll likely need to stand out on Special Teams.  Based on recent history, Robinson will likely find a roster to be on this year, I just highly doubt it's the Redskins.  He's still only 24 and improving, but he'll need to develop more to be a consistent presence on an NFL roster.  He's not likely to contribute to the Redskins this year in any other capacity than as a training camp player.  Something else going against him making the roster?  He was signed to a futures contract before Mike Shanahan was dismissed.  Jay Gruden has never even indicated he wants Robinson on the roster other than by not cutting him already.

Roster Prediction: Training Camp Player

Adrian Robinson is not going to make the Redskins roster this year.  He's young and has experience in the league, so there's a decent chance he'll end up on somebody's roster, but it won't be the Redskins.  He'll be kept around during training camp, and may have a chance if there are some serious injuries to a couple of the guys ahead of him.

Personal Information:

Adrian was born and raised in Harrisburg, PA.  He played some DE in college and was the MAC Defensive PoY his Sophomore season.  He was signed by the Redskins when Nick Barnett injured his knee last year and Will Compton was called up to the active roster.
