2014 Draft: Rounds 4-7 Re-do

In the midst of the slow off season, I thought it would be fun to play armchair GM one last time and get some opinions out there for posterity. I've been told that successful franchises know how to identify and draft good prospects in the later rounds (that would make for a great fanpost in and of itself), which for this exercise's purposes will constitute rounds 4-7. I'm sure many of you watched the draft and were excited about some picks and upset about others. Some of you were legitimately concerned that Bruce Allen might have a brain tumor complicated by a glue sniffing habit. Either way, here is another opportunity for you to show you are a better evaluator of talent.

The game here is easy. Go find a draft recap somewhere. Here is a handy wiki summary if you need it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_NFL_Draft. Now, the picks you have to work with are the actual 4-7 picks we had, specifically 102, 142, 186, 217, and 228. Further, the picks from the first three rounds remain in place. So, if like me, you wanted more offensive linemen, keep in mind that we already have drafted Morgan Moses and Spencer Long. All you need to do is list your 4-7 round picks with players who would have been available at that time, to include UFAs. Three years from now, I will review the post and grade your selections. Also, feel free to put in some justifications, i.e. you want the guy exclusively for special teams. The winner will receive a VHS copy of "Falling Down" and a six-pack of Clear Pepsi.

Personally, I wanted more offensive linemen, and I also wanted to gamble on some players that have huge upside, but fell due to injury or character concerns. The kicker selection at 228 was an utter waste in my mind. I also think Seastrunk is going to be a huge dud, and I didn't think we needed another rb given our current stable. That said, here are my own picks:

102: Khairi Fortt ILB California. 6'2" 248. (Actual pick 126 to Saints).

142: Cyril Richardson OG Baylor. 6'5" 329. (Actual pick 153 to Bills).

186: Daniel McCullers DT Tennessee. 6'7" 352. (Actual pick 215 to Steelers).

217: Rob Blanchflower TE Massachusetts. 6'4" 256. (Actual pick 230 to Steelers).

228: Seantreal Henderson OT Miami. 6'7" 331. (Actual pick 237 to Bills).
