Hello Everyone! Welcome to the Sloppy Seconds, your afternoon/evening update on all of the news around the NFL.
Let us all hope Jerry is very, very wrong on this one.
Just in case you have not heard yet. Also, on a related note, I have found the silver lining in the name debate issue. After reading through the comments on the Hogs Haven article U.S. Patent Office Cancels Redskins Trademark, I have noticed how good our readers here are at constructing thoughtful arguments. I have seen some of our regulars develop from one liner commenters to writers with paragraphs and complete sentences! Maybe it is not worth all the grief that comes with this subject, but it makes me smile. Who needs the debate club when you could be a member of the Hogs Haven community?
The evidence presented by the NFL in the case of New Orleans Saints Tight End Jimmy Graham is pretty lame. The rules according to the collective bargaining agreement favor Graham’s case, as the tag is to be based on the position "at which the Franchise player participated in the most plays during the prior League Year."
Well, he might be the first. At least he wont be on one of the worst teams in football.
