Jon Halapio
Offensive Guard
Height: 6’4"
Weight: 323 lbs
University of Florida
Strengths: Halapio has good size and strength for the position. He is not explosive but is able to drive people off the ball in the run game, having some good success on short pulls. Halapio is a smart player with a ton of experience. He is also very tough, playing the majority of the 2013 season with a partially torn pectoral muscle, and holding his own against elite defensive fronts like LSU and FSU.
Weaknesses: Average athleticism limits his upside. Halapio needs to work on his flexibility and ability recover in pass protection. Has trouble finding blocks on the second level. Health will be an issue as he has suffered several injuries that cost him playing time in Gainesville.
Bottom Line: If he can stay healthy, Halapio will provide solid value in the middle rounds. He will most likely never be a dominant force, but he should end up being a solid plug and play guy with a bit of development.
Projected Round: 4th to 5th
Team he fits best on: Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars, Oakland Raiders
