Today is Christmas Eve for Redskins fans, and everyone is trying to sneak into the attic and sneak a peak at their presents this year. The NFL has opened up the legal tampering period for free agency that is basically a 3 day window for team's and player's agents to work out contracts. This avoids the usual midnight/early morning rush of free agency signings under the old rules. How exactly did Dan Snyder work out a complicated NFL contract worth $100 million 1 minute into the new NFL year? Some mysteries will never be solved.
"Beginning at 12:00 noon ET on Saturday, March 8 and ending at 3:59:59 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 11, clubs are permitted to contact, and enter into negotiations with, the certified agents of players who will become Unrestricted Free Agents upon the expiration of their 2013 player contracts at 4:00 p.m. ET on March 11. However, a contract cannot be executed with a new club until 4:00 p.m. ET on March 11."
Not yet, players can’t visit until Tues. Agent contact only during tampering period. RT @John_Atchison: LOL. So is Redskins1 fueled up yet?
