Height: 5’10", Weight: 192 lbs.
Strengths: Darby is an overall effective run supporter, while he takes bad angles on some occasions. He has a lot of experience in man coverage and he has shown some excellent ball skills during his time at Arizona State. Alden has experience in special teams and seems to do many things well. Aden is also a good athlete, with good burst and body control.
Weaknesses: Like many safeties, Darby has issues with inconsistent tackles. He is also undersized for the position. Darby was recruited to play cornerback for the school, but switched over to safety his sophomore season. Alden also has issues with his strength. He may be able to get stronger, but it is unclear if the addition of strength will affect his athleticism.
Bottom Line: While Darby does many things well, he does not do anything especially great. He projects to be a late draft pick and a back up safety. He will very likely find a home on special teams. His versatility will likely get him drafted in the later rounds as opposed to being undrafted.
