Height: 5’11", Weight: 210 lbs.
Strengths: Vinnie Sunseri is a physical and smart safety from the defensive powerhouse of college football, the Crimson Tide. Vinnie is an excellent run supporter, focuses on the quarterback’s eyes, is not afraid to jump routes, and is an effective special teams player. He had an excellent interception against Texas A & M.
Weaknesses: Sunseri is not a spectacular athlete and he lacks the speed and fluidity to keep up with the elite wide receivers. However, his biggest issue is the injury he suffered this season. A major injury drops a players draft stock drastically, no matter how good they are (When is Murray projected to go these days?).
Bottom Line: Sunseri tore his ACL and will have to prove he is healthy enough to play in his pre-draft exams. Sunseri is a good defensive player and any team needing Strong Safety help could take a dice roll on him if he is healthy.
Projected round: 6
Team he fits best on: Redskins, Giants, Raiders, and Broncos
