Height: 5' 10", Weight: 190 lbs
Strengths: Patterson is a very athletic safety. He converted to the position from cornerback. He tackles well, wrapping up the majority of the time. He's quick and agile. He's aggressive and has been helpful in run support for the Ducks. He's got soft hands and works hard to make receivers earn their catches.
Weaknesses: As a convert, Patterson does not have a lot of experience at the position. He's also shorter than many other free safeties entering the draft this year. His lack of experience shows in some of the angles he takes in pursuit. He also has a tendency to leave his feet when tackling.
Bottom Line: Patterson could be drafted as a backup. He has good hands, good mobility, and decent form. He needs help but has room and the ability to grow and become a starter.
Projected Round: 7-FA
Team He Fits Best On: Redskins, Steelers, Cowboys
