First post here, so I thought I'd begin with my European view on what we should address in terms of our free agents. Admittedly I haven't seen all the games last season due to the time difference, but here's what I think could help the Redskins become a strong team again.
Most immediate issues IMO should be handled through free agency due to a lack of first round pick.
Riley : cut, LILB : Karlos Dansby (2.25m)
Fletcher : cut, RILB : Arthur Moats (1.35m)
Hall : extend
Orakpo : extend
Biggers : cut, FS : Jairus Byrd (6.9m)
Moss : cut, WR : Julian Edelmann (0.9m)
Morgan : cut, KR/WR : Ted Ginn (1.1m)
Chester : cut, RG : Geoff Schwartz (0.7m)
Davis : cut, TE : Backup position to Jordan Reed, address in draft
Doughty : cut, SS : TJ Ward (1.2m)
Baker : extend
According to overthecap.com the cuts and extension (to similar amounts as this season) would give a cap room of 23.6m, while the new signings would cost 14.4m in cap space.
Admittedly signing especially Edelmann and Ginn would come a bit more expensive, but even double the salary would definitely be possible.
