Strengths: Dozier projects best as a guard in the NFL, and has the prototypical size for the position. Dozier is very strong and has quick feet. Dozier is a powerful blocker and was able to get great push while playing tackle for the Furman Paladins.
Weaknesses: Dozier is still very raw technically, especially needing to improve his footwork. He can also over rely on his athleticism and lunge out at defenders, instead of engaging and driving them.
Bottom Line: Every year there is one small school guy that sneaks up draft board, and Dozier has the potential to rise pretty far. The limited amount of tape allows people to project onto players, and it would not surprise me if some team fell in love with Dozier’s build and athleticism and reached on him. Dozier is a very high upside talent, and has the potential to be the best guard in this draft class.
