The Redskins offense is actually fairly easy to fix. Run the ball with Alfred Morris & when he is tired, bring in Helu. The disparity of run to pass was understandable for the first two weeks because of the early deficits. In week three against the Lions, the Redskins were in the game throughout & still chose to pass over twice as many times as they ran the ball. Alfred Morris needs to have a minimum of 25 carries with an additional 5-10 going to Roy Helu. Sprinkle in a few read option runs by Robert Griffin III & the Redskins should end up with a close to 50% of run & pass percentages. Robert Griffin III has been able to get more of a feel for the game & played well against the Lions. He made two big mistakes during the game including his fumble on a flop of a slide. Sliding is obviously what Griffin needs to work on the most. When he improves his sliding technique, he will be able to turn up field again on runs without the current hesitation that he has shown. Griffin 's interception was less of a problem & hopefully a good learning experience. Everything went so well for Griffin in his rookie season that he was not able to learn from his mistakes. Griffin needs to be supported by the entire Redskins franchise during losing times as well as he was during the 7 game win streak of 2012. Leonard Hankerson needs to be in the lineup on a regular basis. He is not anywhere close to a great #2 receiver but he is the only wr on the roster to flash tat ability so far this season. Jordan Reed must continue to be the #1 option at TE & on 3rd downs. If he is not slowed my his current injury, he can develop into a great safety blanket for Griffin. I hope to see some read option fakes with quick passes down the seam to Reed. I don't want the Redskins to give up on Fred Davis completely but Reed has obviously been the better receiver this season. Garcon needs to be targeted more also. He plays the screen game well but defenses are picking up on that play & mostly defensing it well. Fixing the offensive line cannot be done this season. LeRibeus coming in out of shape left him out of any chance of taking over at LG Early this season. Adam Gettis is probably a career reserve G-C & not likely to take over unless an injury occurs. RT is Polumbus' job for this season also so the Redskins have who they have. The bright side is that the starting offensive line is a decent to good run blocking line. Establishing the run will give the group a jumpstart & probably improve their pass protection as well. The Redskins should beat the Raiders on a short week for their opponent. Terrelle Pryor's concussion will help also. With the bye week coming in week five, the Redskins could be primed to explode on offense in game five against Dallas.
