Barnett Talks Fines and Safety on Twitter

The veteran linebacker dances around fairness and double standards for defensive players—but avoids saying anything that could get him fined

Nick Barnett took to Twitter yesterday in response to chatter about NFL fines.

The league dished out $321,750 in fines for week one, $100,000 of which came straight from the pocket of Ndamukong Suh (a repeat offender) as punishment for a low block on Vikings center John Sullivan. In total, 19 players were fined—16 defensive players and three offensive players. Washington's DeAngelo Hall was docked $20,000 for a horse-collar tackle on DeSean Jackson.
