Career Summary:

After playing his college ball and graduating in 2008, Kettani has served in the U. S. Navy since and is currently in the Navy Reserve. Even though he was signed by the Patriots as a rookie free agent in 2009, he was placed on their Reserve/Military list. After being on and off the Patriots' practice squad for two seasons and then cut by them in September of 2012, he was picked up by the Redskins. He then was on their practice squad for the entire 2012 season. When he received a promotion to lieutenant, he had his pinning ceremony at Redskins Park. It was attended by Mike Shanahan and running back's coach Bobby Turner. He has never played in a regular season game.

What is coming in 2013:

The Redskins have a good young starting fullback in Darrel Young. It is uncertain if the team will carry two fullbacks into the regular season, and Kettani has an uphill battle to make the squad. However, the coaches seem to like him tremendously because of his team-first attitude and heart. His best bet to make the team, outside of an injury to Young, is to make a statement on special teams during the preseason. He does have the option to go back to the practice squad for one more year, but Shanahan stated back in June that he feels the hard-nosed blocker and runner can seriously contend for a roster spot this season.
