2012 Highlight: To say Morris had an amazing rookie year would be an understatement. He finished second in the NFL in rushing behind Adrian Peterson and broke the Redskins All Time Season Rushing Record. He also finished with the third most yards of any rookie running back in NFL history. His stellar rookie season was capped off in Week 17, when he rushed for 200 yards and three touchdowns against the Dallas Cowboys to help lead the team to its first NFC East championship since 1999.

2012 Lowlight: It's hard to find a lowlight when it comes to Morris' rookie campaign. If there was one negative, it was that he fumbled four times and three of those resulted in turnovers. Outside of that, he had a dream season for a 6th round pick out of Florida Atlantic University. Had it not been for Robert Griffin III's immediate ascension into NFL superstardom, Morris would have no doubt gotten more attention for his accomplishments

What is coming in 2013: A repeat of 2012 would be outstanding, but may be asking a bit much. We know that Griffin and Morris form a devastating backfield, creating a rushing attack that allowed the Redskins to finish first in the league in team rushing yards. Opposing teams must respect a healthy RG3's ability to throw and take off and run at any time. With the defensive line and linebackers back on their heels, they then also must prepare to get a heaping dose of Morris and his bruising rushing style. He rarely goes down with first contact and is the prototypical downhill one-cut rusher. Assuming good health, there is no reason to believe Morris cannot have stats similar to what he accomplished last season. On a final note, word out of Redskins OTA's last week from observers was that Morris appeared faster than last year. If that is indeed the case, the rest of the league could be in serious trouble.
