It is too early to tell what round players are going to go in but I would like to show some of the prospects I would really like to have in a Redskin uniform next year.
Jordan Poyer CB Oregon State
I like his speed and his motor. I think he would be a great fit for our defense as a blitzer and a cover corner.
Logan Ryan CB Rutgers
I like his quickness, long arms and versatility.
Phillip Thomas S Fresno State
I really like this kid and I think that with his injury last year he is underrated.
Jonathan Cyprien S FIU
I like this kid's cover skills and his hard hitting attitude. I was very impressed with his senior bowl week.
Matt Elam S Florida
Hard hitter sure to get plenty of fines from Mr. Goodell.
Quinton Patton WR LA Tech
Oh no a wide receiver. Like it or not, it is a need. Outside of Garcon we have no trustworthy playmaker. This kid is a beast and he put up good numbers against good teams. Vs. Texas A&M 21 rec 233 yds 4 tds. Look at the highlights of this kid on youtube it is custom fit for RG3.
Blidi Wreh Wilson CB UCONN
Team captain with athleticism and long arms. Better in zone than man. Lacks top-end speed.
DJ Swearinger S South Carolina
Hard hitter with a lot of fines coming his way. Versatile and tough.
Marquise Goodwin WR Texas
Stupid fast and quick off the line. Had a good showing at the senior bowl.
Zaviar Gooden LB Missouri
Kid is an athletic freak and has tremendous speed. He was all over the place in the senior bowl. He was a team captain and is a former safety, so posses coverage skills. I would take him as early as the third.
Shawn Williams S Georgia
Selfless passionate player. Overshadowed by Rambo, but a more consistent tackler, with pop.
Honey Badger CB "LSU"
I am very okay with taking the risk on him at this point. His upside is huge as a high energy, feisty nickel corner. He can also blitz which is a huge plus in our defense.
Devin Taylor DE South Carolina
This guy is huge and I think he is under appreciated because of the other talent on SC's defense. But the tape shows a hustler who finds his way to the ball.
Kawann Short DT Purdue
If someone can light a fire under his ass he could be a great player.
BW Webb CB W&M and Robert Alford SE LA
Small school corners that looked good at the senior bowl.
Duke Williams S Nevada
He is a playmaker, capable of causing turnovers. He will be there in the later rounds.
Quanterus Smith DE WKU
Crazy pass rush skills. Injury will cause him to drop could be a steal in 2014. Undersized.
Conner Vernon WR Duke
Quick off the line and a steal in the later rounds.
Ryan Allen P LA Tech or Jeff Locke P UCLA
We need to cut Rocca to make cap room. He was not good last year anyway.
I DO NOT want Fred Davis back. I don't get why everyone is all about this guy. He had one decent season and has been a pain in the ass the rest of the time. Late for practice, drugs, injuries. Goodbye Fred. Welcome Jared Cook. The guy is 6'6'' a huge target for RG3. I think his skills were not used properly in Tennessee. If Helu is not healthy and we are looking for a change of pace back look at Justin Forsett. He has experience in zone blocking scheme and is a small quick pass catcher. Looking for a slot receiver, I like Danny Amendola. No need to go any further than him lighting us up this season to the tune of 15 rec 160 yds 1 td.
I also think we should let Sav Rocca go and sign an undrafted punter. We have to clear cap space if we are going to be able to sign any FAs. I also think Carriker, Moss, and Hall should be gone.
