10 Players to Watch During Bowl Season

Bowl season kicked off this past Saturday, which provides another reason to ignore your family during the holiday season. The Redskins do not have a first round pick this year, but there is mucho talent available in the second round. As you gorge yourself with Christmas candy and your grandma’s famous spiked eggnog, take note of these ten players that could be available to the Redskins on Day 2 of the 2014 NFL Draft.

1. Cyril Richardson, OT, Baylor, Fiesta Bowl: Protected RG3’s blindside in college. Would make a great second round pick as he would shore up the right side of the line.

2. Bryan Stork, C, FSU, BCS National Championship: Will Montgomery is getting no younger and Stork is a third round pick that could compete for the starting role.

3. Gabe Jackson, G, Mississippi St., Liberty Bowl: Good run blocking guard is an upgrade over Chris Chester and Kory Lichtensteiger.

4. Zack Martin, G/OT, Notre Dame, Pinstripe Bowl: Played OT in college but scouts have him suited better at guard. Provides an upgrade to a mediocre O-line.

5. Shayne Skov, ILB, Stanford, Rose Bowl: London Fletcher is gone. If the Redskins re-sign Riley, they need a young counterpart to pair him with. Skov is an every down linebacker and great tackler.

6. Denzel Perryman, ILB, Miami, Russell Athletic Bowl: Tackle machine could play immediately.

7. Christian Jones, ILB, Florida State, BCS National Championship: Can play multiple linebacker positions and would be a steal in the 3rd round.

8. Kelcy Quarles, DE/DT, South Carolina, Capital One Bowl: Chris Baker is a free agent and the defensive line needs more than 1 sack from its starting d-tackle. Quarles is a good pass rusher that could make a difference on the line.

9. Taylor Hart, DE/DT, Oregon, Alamo Bowl: Polished senior can play in 4-3 or 3-4. Good hustle and size.

10. Brandon Coleman, WR, Rutgers, Pinstripe Bowl: If converts to tight end, he might be the next Jimmy Graham.
