I'm amazed by something.......................

...which is the 'Shanahan vs Shanahan' thing. It reminds me a little of the Hatfields vs the McCoys. Brother against brother. Father against son. To me, I think it's pretty weird. First of all it's a little unusual to have the O-coordinator be the HC's son. But then, you have the O-coordinator (the son, the 'junior' so to speak) calling out his boss (in theory he could get fired) but even more intense/semi-controversial/usually it's good not to air disagreements in the media is that he's FMP (From My Perspective) calling out 'pappy' as well.

Below is a video from a recent news conference where again he confirms he's against RG3's benching. He's not unclear. He reiterates it. There is no confusion, but far-out I don't think I've ever heard an assistant coach publicly going against his head coach like that (especially, even more so, if it's his father) especially not in the media.

So what does it all mean? Maybe he sees Mike is on the way out so he's distancing himself from the situation or setting himself up for his next coaching job? Either way I'm surprised he'd publicly disagree like this. To me it's eerily similar to how the son of an Emperor often can't wait for The Emperor to die.
