I saw the same pass protection problems with the offensive line that we see this season. Robert was sacked about five times, hit repeatedly, and planted at least once by DeMarcus Ware. Run blocking was better slightly, same as this season. This line can run block but not pass block. If you’re looking for an answer to Robert’s passing woes I think you don’t have to look any further than his knee. In order to follow through in his mechanics he has to plant on that surgically repaired knee and shift his weight onto it. He’s afraid to do it with the porous line in front of him. Defensive linemen are coming right up the gut through Montgomery, Chester and Licht, right for his planted knee. As for his running, that brace he’s wearing has to slow him down but also in the previous Dallas game he wasn’t running away from the D-line penetration much better than he is now. Want to make a better RGIII? Get an offensive line that can protect him.
As for the defense, Romo passed for over 440 yards so the secondary woes haven’t changed a bit…just the names on the back of the jerseys. Kerrigan and Orakpo weren’t getting to him either. So the more things change the more they stay the same.
Roberts passes were off just like this year. The long TD pass to Garcon was behind him...a circus catch. Moss caught a 14 yard first down pass that was over his head.
