Opened up my internet home page, Yahoo, and the first article highlighted was about the death of Adrian Peterson's 2 year old son. Words cannot begin to describe the emotions that we, as fans, feel about this; Grief, Rage, Sorrow, Empathy, etc. But that is nothing to compare to how badly this will affect AP on a personal and professional level. As Redskins fans, we can relate the outgoing support for AP to the support we received after Sean Taylor was killed. After enormous support on Twitter, Facebook and other social media outlets; Peterson sent out a statement reading:
"I should start off by saying I really appreciate all the support that I've been receiving from fans, the Vikings organization...This is a private matter and I would ask you all to please just respect my privacy and not ask at all about the situation at hand. Thanks."

As a law student, I cannot judge the suspect involved: Innocent until proven guilty doctrine. However, as a rational human being, I do judge him as guilty. Not all the facts have been released, so there is no telling evidence to concretely prove the suspect caused the death of Adrian’s son. However, the mere fact that the child was alone with said suspect and the medical staff’s assessment of the child’s injuries makes it hard to say that the suspect was not complacent in the child’s death. As noted in the article, Peterson’s son’s name was not released to the public. Even if I knew the name, I would not put it out there given the privacy issue and Peterson’s request to respect that.
While I may dislike when Adrian runs over the Redskins defense, I admire his toughness and drive to succeed. I hope that he can overcome this tragedy and continue to dominate the running back position. My heart and prayers go out to him and his family at this time. As we Redskins fans have said too often in regards to Sean Taylor: "Gone but Never Forgotten." Taylor lives on in the hearts of his family, friends, loved ones and fans. So too should Adrian’s son live on in the same manner.
Please do not use the comment section for anything not related to this topic. Politics/Name Change/Bickering is not something that I want to see in the comments. They have no place in supporting Adrian Peterson.
