Odds on low draft picks and RFA's

In another fan shots post I read in the comment section about the odds of mid to late round picks being avg . starters . They were very low according to the poster.

I went through the roster and here is what I found .

LBF , and Bowen were RFa's . LBF is a 4 time pro bowler and 2nd team all pro. (2)

Cofield , Riley , and Stieger were 4th rounders and all are at least avg. (3)

Morris and Morgan were 6th round picks One is a 2nd team all pro and the other was 2nd on our team in rec. (2)

Will Montgomery was a 7th rounder and flirted with a pro bowl this season .(1)

Jackson , Golston, and Doughty were drafted 6th , 5th and 6th respectively were heavy conrtibutors (3)

By my count 8 of our 22 starters were drafted in round 4 or later . i didnt count the other 3 but they were at least avg when called upon particularly Jackson

My point ? Dont dismiss our draft picks because of what round they came from . We can get quality guys from our next 2 drafts .

If we can find an 2nd team all pro rb in round 6 we certainly can find a quality starter in round 2 at 51 or in round 3 or later

Now I understand about not counting on it but we are a 10-6 team with what we have .
