NFL-MVP QB Rich Gannon's Keen Insight into RG3's Injury and Future

Reporter John Keim frequently asks penetrating questions to players, coaches and experts, and elicits highly insightful responses. Case in point, Keim interviewed '02 NFL MVP, 4-time Pro Bowler, mobile QB Rich Gannon, who after ACL surgery ran for 500 yards (2000 season.)

Here's one of many pearls from the interview/ article:

Gannon: "[Robert and the Skins will] look at the sack reel. [They'll] look at that and then put together a reel where he got a bad hit. [They'll] talk about these. [For example] one year we had 13 interceptions, and it took us two hours to go through the interceptions. We’d talk about each play. They’ll say, “Robert, what happened [on this hit] here? What was the situation in the game? What was the down and distance?” So he gets a thorough understanding of why these [hits] are happening. You put together a reel of other quarterbacks, Michael Vick, Russell Wilson. How is he [Wilson] not taking those shots? That’s the one thing about Russell; he’s been slippery."

The entire article is well worth reading, as Keim asks a series of pertinent questions and MVP Gannon provides his expert insight into RG3's footwork, reads, durability, strengths, weaknesses and post-recovery changes.
