Hello Burgundy and Gold Nation,
New member/first time poster here, and I thought it'd be cool to have a thread on who we would want to see suit up for the Redskins in 2013. Solutions to problems like who the heck is our number 3 corner, or both of our starting safeties could be just around the corner (no pun intended). Right now the Skins have the following picks.
5th Rounder (Haynesworth's best production)
I'd like if folks could respond with your draft strategy with the picks we have. Hell, throw in free agent signings in there if you feel they will be available after the draft. For example, maybe there is some bad ass Australian footballer we could sign to replace Sav Rocca if he starts to slow down this year.
2nd Rounder- Robert Lester S, Alabama
Lester is a safety who can play the center field role for us for the next decade. Skins need a top tier FS in this draft.
3rd Rounder-Travis Frederick OG, Wisconsin
4th Rounder-Kenny Vaccaro S, Texas
Safety will good range and ridiculous hitting capacity.
5th Rounder-Kyle Fuller-Virginia Tech, CB
Solid up and coming corner at VT.
5th Rounder-James Ferentz C, Iowa
6th Rounder-Jaz Reynolds WR, Oklahoma
7th Rounder-Caleb Sturgis K, Florida /Brad Wing P, LSU
Replacement for Cundiff/Rocca if needed.
I know it is all DBs and linemen, but I think that's what we need. Shannahan will probably draft 2 WR/RBs though since thats his MO. Let me know what you guys think or if there are better players than the ones listed at these draft spots I am missing.
