This guy has been a headache for his formal teams and his financial problems are well documented.
That said, the Redskins have a glaring need at RT and bringing in this guy on a one year deal could be what they need to solidify the offensive line. According to this post, http://www.thehogs.net/washington-redskins/salary.php, the redskins do have some salary cap room to spend on a one year deal. I would even overpay him a bit on this deal just to sure up the line and get a solid talent into the fold. If he doesn't work out, it won't impact you long term.
He played in the Raven's 3rd preseason game with no issues so it is not a health or performance problem. Its off the field and money disputes. So, if he can be made happy for one year it could help us...
